fall 2026 harvest

A foraging treat your hamster will devour

Whole sunflower heads grown in our Minneapolis garden. Your hamster works every seed loose the way nature packed them in.

One garden. About 50 heads this year. When they're reserved, that's the season.

One harvest a year

Sunflowers take 100 days of summer sun. There is no restock button.

Sealed at peak freshness

Air dried in August, vacuum sealed the same week. You get them right off the drying rack.

Gone for the season

Once the last head is claimed, the next one is a year away.

The grow operation

From one Minneapolis garden, start to finish

Every head in this drop comes from the same beds we plant each spring. Here is exactly what happens between seed and your doorstep.

  1. Planted in May. Black Oil Seed Variety, a Hamster favorite
  2. 100 days of summer sun. No sprays. Nothing touches these heads but weather.
  3. Hand cut whole. Seeds stay in the head. Working them loose is the enrichment.
  4. Air dried in August. This is the key to freshness. No preservatives means it needs to stay dry
  5. Cut, Sort, and Grade This drop is for our first cut quality, which has more than 90% head-fill
  6. Vacuum sealed with desiccant. Locked at peak, shipped when you order.
