Rodents love to wear their teeth down on a good stick. Applewood is a natural source they take to easily, one of the few hardwoods most critters go for without any coaxing. Your chinchilla will strip the bark off first, then settle in on the wood underneath.

They also make a base for DIY foraging projects. Mix a simple flour and water paste and use it to stick flowers, seeds, or bits of vegetable to the outside, then let your critter work everything off before the chewing starts.

How do I store it?

Keep it in the resealable bag it arrives in, somewhere dark and dry. Dried treats hold up well as long as moisture stays out.
