Your hamster or bird will be on this immediately. Flaxseed sprays work for any seed-eating small pet, but they're a consistent hit with hamster and bird owners at our expos.

Hang it in the enclosure or scatter stems through bedding and your hamster will strip the seeds off the stem one by one. Nothing in here but flaxseed.

  • Stem structure gives your pet something to grip, pull, and work through
  • Seeds stay attached until your pet pulls them, extending the foraging session
  • Single ingredient, no added sugar, dyes, or fillers
  • Natural size variation between stems is normal

Before you have to ask

The questions worth asking

How much should I feed at once?

Treats are foraging opportunities, not meals. A pinch scattered through bedding gives your critter the searching, digging, and stashing work they'd do in the wild, and small servings keep their staple diet doing the heavy lifting. When in doubt, start smaller than you think.

Could anything hitch a ride in from the garden?

Flaxseed is one of the few treats we grow ourselves, so it's a fair question. Every batch is checked at harvest and dried before packing. If you want total certainty, put the sealed bag in your freezer for 48 to 72 hours when it arrives. That's the same protocol we use ourselves.

Why buy treats from a small pet brand?

When Evan got his first hamster, every interesting treat came in quantities sized for a horse, and there was no way to know if his hamster would even like it. So we package small. Small portions stay fresh, make trying something new low-stakes, and mean a treat that doesn't land isn't a pound of waste in your cupboard. We test everything with our own critters first, and we build bundles you won't find anywhere else.

How do I serve it?

Scatter it. Sprinkling a pinch through bedding or a dig box turns a treat into ten minutes of sniffing, digging, and cheek-stuffing instead of three seconds of eating from your hand. Hand-feeding works too, especially for taming, but foraging is where the enrichment lives.

How do I store it?

Keep it in the resealable bag it arrives in, somewhere dark and dry. Dried treats hold up well as long as moisture stays out.
